Vinyl Composition Tile Refinishing Commercial Floor Restoration
At Emerald Coast Floor Care, we’re pretty obsessive about doing VCT right. We strip all the way down to bare tile, neutralize the floor so the new finish actually bonds, then lay thin, even coats of Diversey Signature for that deep, glossy shine. We run professional gear—Tennant and Advance (Nilfisk) machines with orbital/rotary heads for the best clean and high-speed burnishers with dust control to finish it off. It’s owner-led, after-hours work so we’re out of your team’s way—and you get clean corners, sharp edges, and a result that lasts.
Stripping and Waxing
Owner-led VCT expertise: We specialize in VCT strip & refinish only for this page, bringing 20+ years of best practices to deliver consistent, contract-grade results without shortcuts.
Full removal to bare tile: We don’t “top-scrub and hope.” We chemically strip all old finish down to bare VCT, so new coats bond correctly and wear evenly across high- and low-traffic zones.
Proven chemistry stack: We typically use Diversey strippers and finish with Diversey Signature—chosen for clarity, durability, and even film build—so you get a deep, glassy shine that lasts.
Serious equipment: Our crews run Tennant and Advance (Nilfisk) orbital/rotary machines for uniform agitation, high-CFM wet recovery for clean pickup, controlled-flow applicators for thin even coats, and high-speed burnishers with dust control.
Detail where it matters: Hand-edging along baseboards, fixtures, and thresholds eliminates halos and mop lines. We check edges and corners under strong light before finishing any area.
VCT
Neutralization done right: Multiple rinses return the floor to a neutral pH, preventing haze, streaking, or early adhesion failure—one of the most common reasons floors under-perform.
Finish application discipline: We lay 6 even coats of Diversey Signature and other Premium brands with proper cure between coats, balancing gloss, scuff resistance, and recoat intervals based on your traffic pattern.
Optional high-speed burnish: After cure, we can burnish for extra clarity and scratch resistance—ideal at entrances, service counters, cafeterias, and main corridors.
Weekly maintenance guidance: Most facilities benefit from a weekly burnish, adjusted for size and foot traffic. We’ll align spray-buff/top-coat intervals to reduce full strip frequency and lower lifetime cost.
Overnight, low-disruption work: We prefer after-hours scheduling for safety and minimal interruption. Areas are secured and signed; we leave spaces clean, dry, and ready for morning operations.
